Chips Cuffs

"This commission was incredibly inspiring, as I was tasked with creating cuffs inspired by a great American textile designer, whom my good friend Chip was studying for an upcoming exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt Museum. The woman behind this inspiration was none other than Dorothy Liebes, a remarkable yet often overlooked talent. In her time, she was highly influential, collaborating with artists such as Alexander Calder and pioneering her vibrant colors and joyful textiles across the globe. Dorothy was not only a trailblazer in design but also a glamorous figure of the 1940s, often wearing cuffs similar to the ones I created for Chip.
